With many people expressing their sympathies towards the victims of indiscriminate bombing in Syria, it's high time we realise what the real problem is. Most countries say that the weapons they use are for 'defense purposes only', but I really don't understand how mass genocide can be considered as 'defense'. It is really disheartening to see how civilians in the line of fire are suffering. It could be us in their place at any point of time when these 'first-world countries' decide to bomb our country for their 'defense'. The only way to stop a terrorist from using a weapon is to stop the supply of weapons from the source itself. Insatiable greed is what the real problem is. Most first world countries manufacture weapons by the truck load and then sell them off carelessly, just to make more money. In order to bring about peace and harmony in the world, we must stop these countries from manufacturing these weapons in the first place. Ever since the industrial revolution, we humans have tried to become more like machines, and in the process, instead of dealing with the actual problems at hand like poverty and hunger, we use very dangerous weapons on each other at the whims of some 'impulsive' people and in turn cause severe losses to civilians around the world. It is now upto us civilians to stop these whimsical people from controlling and ruining lives of the common folk. A ban on production of weapons of all types, is the only way forward, for a safer and peaceful society. #PrayforSyria #Banallweapons
