The story of Abu Kadr from Aleppo, Syria is one of those that leave you counting your blessings. He and his wife care for four disabled children: one daughter (age 13) and three sons (ages 24, 26 and 28). Their fifth child died.

As seen in this photo, the children lie on the floor all day and depend on their mother for everything. They are not able to do anything on their own without her. Their mother feeds them, clothes them, changes them, washes them and gives them love and care, day after day. She is everything to them. The oldest son in the middle, struck us the most. During the entire duration of our visit, he just looked at us and smiled… Subhan’Allah.

Currently, they are not receiving aid from any other organization and their situation is very, very difficult. They moved to Turkey three years ago but don’t have the means nor the facilities to properly care for their children. We provided the family with a Ramadhan food pack that will provide food for a month and ask that anyone interested in aiding this family, please contact us.

Abu Hurayra said, “The Prophet was asked, ‘Messenger of Allah, to whom should I be dutiful?’ ‘Your mother,’ he replied. He was asked, ‘Then whom?’ ‘Your mother,’ he replied. He was asked, ‘Then whom?’ ‘Your mother,’ he replied. He was asked, ‘Then whom?’ He replied, ‘Your father.'"
