Wudhu Facilities

Please help us fundraise for Wudu Facilities at Madinatul Uloom Al Islamiya. At this boarding school, there are over 250 pupils, as part of their Hifz program, on average they will recite the Quran for at least 5 hours (or 300 minutes a day).

To put this into context each child will recite for over 18,000 seconds, with over 250 pupils, that's over 4.5million seconds of recitation a day.  Each word consisting of several letters takes 2-3 second to recite and each letter is recited is rewarded with at least 10 good deeds. If you would like to share in this reward please help us complete our Wudu Facilities.

Wudu - Madinatul Uloom Al Islamiya

Madinatul Uloom Al Islamiya

Madinatul Uloom  Al Islamiya was purchased in 1985 by Shaykh Maulana Yusuf Motala Sahib (May Allah continue to shower His blessings upon him). Two years later in 1987, the first Islamic boarding school in the country for girls was established. Alhamdulillah. In 1992, the girls' madrasah moved to Jamiatul Imaam Muhammad Zakaria, Bradford, where it continues to thrive, providing an education for nearly 500 Girls.

Since 1992, the site has been transformed into a boarding school for boys, with over 250 pupils. The school continues to produce a number of Ulama and Huffaaz who are currently involved in serving the religious needs of their communities.

Alhamdulillah, most of the students after graduation go on to assume high positions in their respective communities. They work selflessly, serving the needs of the community and providing advice and support to the young and elderly alike. Below are just some of the positions our graduates hold:

  • Lecturers
  • Imaams in Masaajid
  • Youth Centre Workers
  • Head Teachers of Schools
  • Teachers of Quran and Hadeeth
  • Local Community Centre Advisors
  • Trustees/Directors of Schools/Madaaris

The number of graduates to date is as follows:

  • Ulama = 130
  • Qurraa = 130
  • Huffaz = 250
