We strive to cover all our administration cost from Gift Aid and donations collected specifically to cover admin costs.  When making a donation we ask members of the public to consider also making a small contribution towards our administrative costs. The bulk of our work is done by volunteers, our aid is collected, sorted, labelled, packed into boxes and loaded into shipping containers by volunteers.  This enables us to

The bulk of our work is done by volunteers, our aid is collected, sorted, labelled, packed into boxes and loaded into shipping containers by volunteers.  This enables us to maximise the benefit derived from your donations.  However some costs are unavoidable, we need to utilise warehouse space to collect and sort the aid, we need to pay for hire of a forklift truck, so we can double stack the pallets inside shipping containers, we still have to pay (reduced rate) council tax for premises we utilise, we have to pay for utility bills. 

Printing leaflets, posters to inform members of the public of campaigns and events, booking venues for events, and covering speakers travel expenses, collecting payments via, the website, banks charges for processing credit/debit cards and transferring payments overseas, getting accounts audited to comply with UK financial requirements are all unavoidable costs of running a charity. We try to minimise these costs by running fundraising events and challenges throughout the year. and we appeal to you to publicise our events and
